Make No Bones About A Skeleton Costume
For trick or treat at Halloween, you really need a scary costume. The whole idea is to walk around your neighborhood looking ghoulish. Personally, my favorite scary costume is the skeleton costume.
If any symbol epitomised Halloween then it would be a skeleton. Those old bones seem to be everywhere – hanging from doors and windows to the most amazing costumes. There are many types of skeleton costumes to choose from and here are some ideas for this Halloween.
Grim Reaper Costume
Many religions and cultures view death as a sentient entity, a being that is capable of feeling and perceiving. A common personification of death in English is the Grim Reaper. The Grim Reaper is commonly portrayed as a black cloaked and hooded skeleton who carries a large scythe. The myth is that he takes people from this world to the next. The Grim Reaper is especially popular in horror films. Two films he has appeared in are "Final Destination" and "Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey". So, you will undoubtedly cause a chill in everyone's spines if you dress up as the Grim Reaper.
Skeleton Zombie
If you really want to be fearsome then you can't go wrong with a skeleton zombie costume. I'm sure you've seen zombies in the movies. They are corpses who ahve returned to life but as mindless and blood-thirsty human beings. The zombie is very well known from Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video which had a zombie dance in the graveyard. Some of my favorite zombie movies are "Night of the Living Dead" and more recently the horror-comedy "Shaun of the Dead".
Skeleton Pirate
Finally, everyone loves pirates, but how about really frightening your neighborhood for Halloween with a skeleton pirate costume. If you watched Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003), you couldn't fail to have been scared by the cursed Captain Barbossa and his crew who cannot feel pain or pleasure and are revealed as merely animated skeletons at moonlight.
