ADHD Drugs For Kids - Looking At An Alternative Which Will Not Turn Your Child Into A Zombie
It is no surprise to learn that when over 800 Amish families in Indiana were surveyed and investigated, not one case of ADHD was found. The idea of ADHD drugs for kids would be totally incomprehensible to this community.
The website Age of Autism reports that when they investigated the Amish community in Pennsylvania, they only found three cases of autism. We will probably never know the real reason why.
This does suggest though that their way of life which is basically no TV, growing their own food and no pharmaceutical drugs must be a factor. Certainly their levels of diabetes, heart disease and all the other major killers are way down when compared to the rest of the American population.
According to the UN and the major health authorities, ADHD drugs for kids which use an amphetamine mix of methylphenidate and other amphetamine salts are basically Schedule II drugs. As such, they cannot be used without a doctor's prescription. Basically they pose a risk to public health in that they can be addictive and their therapeutic use is now questioned by many medical authorities.
In spite of all the warnings issued by Pediatric associations and the CDC, doctors are still using ADHD drugs for kids as their first option when it should be their last one! Very often, these medications fail and there are many reasons for this. The main one is of course that a stimulant which can get the whole central nervous system, heart and brain going, is not likely to be healthy for the human organism. It also cannot treat the brain transmitters which are out of sync.
That is why there are so many warnings about cardiac arrest. There are also warnings about hallucinations, and suicidal thoughts. We are talking about children with a minor mental disorder but reading the horror stories, it sometimes seems that we are talking about a serious mental disease.
ADHD drugs, children and adults have been the subject of countless research papers, some of which have been published and others which have been conveniently forgotten. The drug companies have even paid for research to show that homeopathy and ADHD are nonsense. But there are many other studies that show that homeopathic remedies are not only effective but totally free of side effects and health risks. They calm children down without them becoming zombies.
Why not get the best deal for your child? As a parent, if you are at all concerned about the affects of ADHD drugs for kids, why not learn more about a treatment which nobody wants you to know about. It is time to get wised up and be able to argue that the drugs are not the only answer.
